Chandrashekhar (01.09.2011)

Theme of the day: The legendary actor Chandrashekhar (born 1922), a prolific Indian film actor working in the Bollywood film industry.

Good morning friends :) Today we are paying tribute to a legendary actor called Chandrashekhar. While he may not have starred in many films as a hero, his career spans 50 years with his last credited film being (hold your breath) "The Three Idiots"!

Some beautiful songs have been filmed on him, which we present for your blessings.
Song: "Tasveer Banata Hoon" from the movie "Bara Dari" (1955)

Incidentally, finding a tasveer for him was hard, so this song is an apt way to begin this session!

A beautiful romantic number. Wonder why it did not become popular.
Song: "Mahalon Me Rahane Wali Dil Hai" from "Tel Malish Boot Polish" (1961)

I had never associated Chandrashekar with running round trees, but here is is doing the same !!
Song: "Aa Meri Baahon Mein Jhool Jaa" from "Dagabaaz" (1970)

A very sweet song indeed...
Song: "Beet Gayi Hai Aadhi Raat" from "Nache Nagin Baje Been" (1960)

Another of his more famous songs.
Song: "Laagi Chhoote Na" from "Kali Topi Lal Rumal" (1959)

This song seems familiar, but I am sure is rare. Very pleasing to the ear certainly.
Song: "Chale Hai Kaha Sarkaar" from "Nache Nagin Baje Been" (1960)

Signing off of the day with this very sweet song. Have a great day folks. And GANAPATI BAPPA MORYAAA !!!
Song: "Ek Chameli Ki Mandve Tale" from "Cha Cha Cha" (1964)
